Finally we've made some changes to this website, most notably, adding band pages for Cold Northern Vengeance and Wodensthrone. Both bands will be debuting releases on Bindrune later this year. Secondly, minor page updates can be found in the Blood of the Black Owl and Celestiial pages, featuring the cover art for the forthcoming split 12". Speaking of...

Blood of the Black Owl / Celestiial

Both entities have completed recording for the upcoming debut split VINYL release for Bindrune Recordings, and the final master from the amazing Mel Detmer, is in our hands. This release will be going to the pressing plant in a week or so. This 12", 180 gram slab of wax will feature 1 long exclusive track from each band. Limited to 500 copies, this release will only be available from Bindrune Recordings and the bands respectively. When the pressing of 500 runs out, the music will not be repressed in any format, so when this behemoth of pagan doom is unleashed, act fast or forever fall...

Technical information: both tracks range around the 17 minute mark each and benefit from a crushing production.


This release will also be made available with a limited run of both Black Owl and Celestiial patches.

Blood of the Black Owl

 The 2nd full-length Blood of the Black Owl CD, "A Feral Spirit" is looking to be unleashed in June. Bindrune will be handling the CD release worldwide, while the UK's Aurora Borealis/Southern looks to be handling the 2LP release of this epic monument of emotional a completely unique doom from the Pacific Northwest. We have just recieved the master of this album, once again empowered by the ever amazing sound goddess, Mel Detmer, and I must say that A Feral Spirit is one of the most unique and gripping releases I have heard in ages. Beauty, despair and mysticism lurks at the core, while the ever colorful attack of Chet Scott twists and augments sounds and an infinate source of power to bewilder the listener with creativity and a passion rarely experienced in the heavy music realm. More info will be shared as we near the release.

COLD NORTHERN VENGEANCE

Still hard at work on their second full-length album, Cold Northern Vengeance have recently reported in that they have 4 songs fully recorded and have decided to call the album, "Domination and Servitude" (see pic for a preliminary sneakpeak of the cover art... still a work in process). Approximately 5 more tracks yet to record, the band anticipates completion by April, so we are looking forward to an early spring 2008 release.

In the meantime, our friends at Heófung-tid Productions are releasing a split LP between Cold Northern Vengeance and Lyrinx. WODENSTHRONE

Still hard at work breaking in a new member that has recently joined their clan, Wodensthrone continue to amass material for their debut full-length and have played a handful of shows throughout the UK. Also, a lengthy and informative interview has been made available on the bands myspace page. In the meantime, the following information has been made available regarding their upcoming split CD release coming out soon on Ancient Nation :

The material for our side of the forthcoming split with Belarusian band, Folkvang was mixed & mastered a good couple of months ago now. It has since been sent off and is now awaiting to be pressed to disc.

The split entitled "Over The Binding Of The Waves" is due for release very soon now and will feature the usual glossy paper inlay, as with most Ancient Nation releases.
